Anne Scott

A keen quilter, Anne Scott founded New Zealand Quilter magazine in 1992 and edited this quarterly publication until it ceased in 2017. Since 1998, Anne has curated touring exhibitions of New Zealand quilts for exhibition in Canada, Australia, the US, Britain and France. With a longstanding interest in quilt history, she served on the Advisory Board of the International Quilt Study Center at the University of Lincoln, Nebraska from 2000-2003. For some years she travelled to Laos, teaching quilting and sewing skills to disadvantaged women as part of an income generation project. She was made a Member of the NZ Order of Merit (MNZM) in 2018 for services to quilting.
